Prickly in Purple
One of the varieties of prickly pear has a
very purple cast to the pads, depending on the amount of sunshine and
the time of year it can be very purple to just a hint of the purple.
The blooms are a bright yellow and contrast quite a bit with the purple
pads. Upon close inspection I noted the interesting pattern on the pads
and decided that I would add it to the picture as well.
